Women Are the Most Awesome of Gods Creatures.

I am no feminist by no means I just really believe that women are the most awesome of gods creatures and we have let the opposite sex control our lives for way to long. It is man like Karl Lagerfeld that objectify women and makes us feel ugly and unworthy of love because we don’t look like the stick figures on the cover of magazines and on the catwalks of Milan and Pairs. Karl Lagerfeld the German designer was quoted this week for saying ‘No one wants to see curvy women’. So of course I am outraged and man like him should be grouped in the same category as Charles Manson and why not even Hitler…just pain murders. Murders of the body and the soul.

All women are beautiful and everyone wants to see us in all of our splendid glory. Granted he was talking about women on the catwalk, but even those rail thin models are torture by making them believe they are fat at 120 lbs and a hight of 5’10” is ridiculous and completely unhealthy. Filippa Hamilton, a 23 year old model for Ralph Lauren was quoted to say that she got let go six months ago because Ralph Lauren as dissatisfied with her body.

I applaud Spain for being the first country back in 2006 to set limits and not allowing any model with a BMI below 18 to walk the catwalks of Spain. The World Health Organization defines a BMI (Body Mass Index – a weight-to-height ratio) below 18.5 as “underweight”.

Here is a copy of the article for you to read. Oh, and look out for my comment as well there was no way I could not say something. Let me know what your thoughts are as well I want to know what all women have to say.

‘No one wants to see curvy women’: German designer

Was the photoshopped Ralph Lauren model fired for being overweight?

Why you need to know how to change a tire.

Hello again Bellas, so I’m going to tell you a little story of an incident that happen to my sister Julia and I about 10 years ago.  My sister had gotten her first car and she was as excited as a clown on the opening night of the circus.  She drove that little white Toyota MR-2 like it was going to go out of style and one day just a week after she got it we pulled into a gas-station and she miscalculated the hight of the curve and the distance between her front tire and the curve and ***POW*** she fit it so hard the tire popped.  Now let me tell you something about Julia she is a green eye blond with a set of perky ladies that will stop traffic especially 10 years ago.  So why do I tell you this about Julia, well because not a single guy helped out or volunteered to change the tire form the men pumping gas.  The attendant was the only employee and could not leave his post for too long so we got stuck to change our own tire and it would have been much easier if we would have known how, the attendant was kind enough to give us some guidance along the way in the few moments he could escape form the cash register.  First the nuts where so freaking hard that it took both of us to jump up and down on the stick thingy (I bet the stupid guys enjoyed this part) to loosen them up and then we had no clue on how to use that little lifter thing and then we…we…well you can just imaging our pain.  But one thing is for sure the sense of accomplishment that we both got to have done it on our own was the best reward ever, in addition to the bragging rights of course.  I think that is when I started my personal quest for independence and creating my own destiny. It was such an empowering feeling that I knew I could fly, I knew I could do anything after that point on and that is the same feeling I want all of my beautiful and incredible readers to have. We can do anything!!!

Much the same as the two women in a video that I found, changing a tire during a trip on Thanksgiving  in a similar situation only there was no gas-station and it seems they knew what they where doing.  But I though I would share it with you to illustrate that it happens more often then you think and see the importance to watching the Change Your Own Tire 101 Class video.

Much love,
Atia

Hello Ladies!!!!!!

Today Oct 12, 2099, I embark on an incredible journey of trying to help one women at a time and wising to reach many more by way of my new blog Dear Atia.

I make friends everywhere I go and there is always one thing in common with people I encounter…”Atia what do you think”?   People are always asking for my opinion and my insight to life’s challenges.  I have always though of myself as an old soul, I have always seemed to have great insight to things way beyond my years.  Growing up my older brother Pier hated that I was always right and would always say “is what you telling me a fact or are you making it up” and to be honest most of the time I was making it up and it end up being a fact.  It was deductive logic that I used and it always seemed to give me the right answer.

So today with much more experience and a wealth of knowledge passed on to me by great thinkers and teachers of life I am fully equipped with the tools to help women of all ages, cultures, and social economical backgrounds empower themselves to be STRONG SUCCESSFUL WOMEN that are in control of their lives.

I promise to teach you everything I know and help you get get closer to your dreams.  I know I don’t have all the answers that is for sure, but I’m resourceful and will not let a women in need on her own.  I would also like for you to feel comfortable to share your thoughts and your ideas by posting a comment, sending a Dear Atia letter, submitting a discussion question, submitting finds, or just simply telling me I goofed.  If I can help one women by myself at one time, imagine how many women we can help if we work together.

This blog is ment more for you then for me…I’m just the channel for you to have a voice.

Love, Atia
